About the owner:
Mary Holmes is a recently retired professor emeritus of Child Development and a mother of 3, grandmother to 7, She has a life long devotion to children’s interaction with nature and believes that is the basis for healthy child development. Born into a large Appalachian family, Mary enjoys entertaining family and friends, traveling and spending time developing the butterfly vivarium along with other outdoor projects. Inviting others to share in her special hilltop retreat is another way she hopes to support families spending time together.

Although Jamul is a large geographic area we are located close in at the Rancho San Diego edge, just 22 miles from downtown San Diego,10 miles from downtown La Mesa 19 miles to downtown Chula Vista, 9 miles to downtown El Cajon.
